Summer's Hottest Trend
/Summer is here and it is hot one! Unfortunately, the corona virus has cancelled many of our summer plans. We are all spending a lot more time in our homes as we try to beat the heat and help stop the spread of the corona virus. This summer’s biggest interior design trend is all about bringing the outside in and helping to make our spaces just a little bit happier. Here are 5 fun and easy ways you can incorporate nature into your home to create a more peaceful and beautiful space.
House Plants:
Probably the most obvious as well as easiest ways to bring a little of the outdoors in, houseplants have been increasing in popularity for a while now for many reasons. More than just pretty décor, studies have shown that plants can boost your mood, reduce stress, and help to keep the air temperature down. Plants are a great way to add some life to an empty corner or shelf. If you are a novice start with something hardy like the aptly named Cast Iron Plant (which will survive with low light, poor soil, and infrequent watering) or the Snake Plant (which can last up to a month without watering). If you are looking for a beautiful and unique planter check out Tracie Hervy’s handmade pottery sold online at Bloomist.com.
